Key Responsibilities
In this role, you won't just be supervising; you'll be shaping minds and setting the tone for classroom success:
- Curriculum & Play: Design and implement age-appropriate, hands-on lesson plans that encourage social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a warm, organized, and predictable daily routine using positive guidance techniques.
- Parent Partnerships: Keep families in the loop with daily updates, digital tracking app updates, and open, friendly communication.
- Health & Safety: Ensure a clean, safe, and nurturing environment that complies with all state licensing regulations.
- Mentorship: Act as a positive role model and mentor to assistant teachers and aides in your classroom.
What We Are Looking For
Because this is a lead position, we are looking for a professional with hands-on classroom experience:
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience working in a licensed childcare center or baby sitting experience.
- Education: High School Diploma
- Credentials: Valid CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire)
- Skills: Excellent communication, a calm and patient presence, and a deep understanding of early childhood development.
- Requirements: Ability to pass a comprehensive state background check, fingerprinting, and physical/TB test.
