Kilauea Market + Café is an exciting shopping and dining concept located in the Kilauea Lighthouse Village! This grocery and restaurant hybrid features a full-service grocery store, coffee bar, beer and wine bar, made to order food, and an indoor and outdoor dining area.
The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for assisting the Store Manager with the day-to-day management of the store, obtaining maximum sales and margins, ensuring maximum standards of customer service, the development of staff and meeting all targeted projections and goals through the effective utilization of available personnel and resources. The Assistant Store Manager is a role model and leader and must solve problems, make informed decisions and manage the operations wisely in order to achieve maximum results. Qualified candidates must be friendly, enthusiastic, highly motivated professionals who are service driven.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of retail and/or customer service experience.
- 2 years of experience in a management or supervisory role.
- High school education or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Detail-oriented with good organizational skills, performing work accurately and efficiently while meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Demonstrate effective leadership skills including support and delegation skills.
- Possess administrative skills: knowledge of spreadsheet, database, word processing programs, general office equipment: copier, fax, scanner.
- Willingness to be open, to learn and take on new responsibilities.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Must be able to lift up to 30lbs and frequently bend and twist from the waist.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must comply with all company policies and requirements.
- Must possess or willing to obtain a valid TB Clearance.

- The advertised rate of this posting consists of a starting base pay rate of $21.50, plus a premium of $2 that is currently offered for this location. The premium is not included when determining compensation for non-worked hours, including, but not limited to, compensation for PTO (Sick/Vacation), non-worked Holidays, FMLA and Worker's Compensation. Compensation for all non-worked hours is calculated on the base pay rate only, not the advertised rate of this posting.
