Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Technician to join our team on a full-time weekend shift schedule. Duties
- Operate plastics blow molding, extrusion, and injection molding machines to produce high-quality parts according to specifications.
- Set up, adjust, and troubleshoot machinery such as press brake machines, CNC lathes, and CNC equipment to optimize production efficiency.
- Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Handle materials safely using forklifts and other warehouse equipment, ensuring proper materials handling and storage.
- Perform fabrication and assembly tasks utilizing hand tools and fabrication equipment to meet production requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation of production processes, inspection results, and machine maintenance activities.
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying waste reduction opportunities and suggesting process improvements.
- Assist with routine maintenance of machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a safe work environment for all team members.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating manufacturing equipment such as plastics blow molding, extrusion, injection molding, press brake machines, CNC lathes, or similar machinery.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in automated manufacturing systems.
- Warehouse experience including materials handling with forklifts.
- Skilled in quality inspection techniques using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements, calculations, and process adjustments.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles aimed at continuous improvement.
- Ability to read technical drawings and operate hand tools proficiently.
- Prior experience in plastics fabrication or machining is preferred but not mandatory.
