Phlebotomy Instructor (6-Week Contract Position)
We are seeking a knowledgeable Phlebotomy Instructor to teach a short, intensive 6-week training course for new students entering the healthcare field. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified professional looking for flexible, part-time teaching work with competitive compensation.
Position Overview
The Phlebotomy Instructor will lead a structured training program designed to provide students with foundational knowledge and hands-on skills in phlebotomy. All course materials, curriculum outlines, and supplies will be provided.
Schedule
- Duration: 6 weeks
- Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays
- Hours: 4 hours per class session (8 hours per week total)
- Schedule flexibility available within set teaching days
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging classroom and/or lab instruction in phlebotomy techniques
- Teach proper venipuncture procedures, safety protocols, and patient interaction skills
- Supervise and guide students during hands-on practice
- Ensure students understand OSHA standards and infection control procedures
- Track student progress and provide basic feedback on performance
- Maintain a safe, professional, and supportive learning environment
Requirements
- Current or prior certification/licensure in phlebotomy or related healthcare field
- Prior teaching, training, or mentoring experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with entry-level students
- Knowledge of clinical safety standards and best practices
