Job Title - ESL Liaison
Supervisor: ESL Specialist and Director of Curriculum and Instruction
Job Goals:
To assist with translation of information provided by parents, guardians, schools, teachers, administrators and others.
To collaborate with community groups and social service agencies to provide assistance to ESL students and their families.
To assist in providing supplemental support to schools with ESL students and their families.
Minimum Qualifications:
Effective interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on communication and collaboration with a wide variety of people and groups, including students, parents and others.
Ability to use technology to communicate, to manage data, and to produce/submit required reports, correspondence, and/or financial information.
Performance Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Assists as needed with translating written communication from central office administrators, school administrators, teachers and other staff members into Spanish to assist in communication with parents of ELLs.
Adheres to school system rules, administrative procedures, local Board policies, and state, federal, and local laws.
Terms of Employment: As established by the Board and applicable state law.
Evaluation: Performance will be evaluated in accordance with the Board’s policy on evaluation of personnel.
