Join our vibrant team as an Ice Cream Server/Cashier, where you'll be the face of our fun and friendly ice cream shop and Claw Machine Arcade! In this energetic role, you will provide exceptional customer service, serve delicious Blue Bell ice cream treats, handle sales transactions and maintain the plush animals in the claw machine arcade. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will create memorable experiences for our guests while maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting their favorite ice cream flavors and toppings
- Operate POS systems such as Lightspeed POS to process sales accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash register operations, including processing cash, credit/debit card transactions, and giving correct change
- Prepare food items with proper food handling techniques, ensuring quality and safety standards are met
- Maintain cleanliness of the workspace, including cleaning equipment, counters, and dining areas in compliance with sanitation guidelines
- Upsell additional products like specialty sundaes or drinks to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Manage food service customer orders from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery and satisfaction
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, serving, or cashiering within quick service or fast food restaurants is preferred, but we will help you with Food Certifications.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Lightspeed POS, or similar platforms for retail sales transactions
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods
- Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately and managing register operations
- Knowledge of food safety management, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively in a fast-paced environment
