Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Assistant Warehouse Manager to join our fast-paced logistics team. Responsibilities
- Assist in overseeing daily warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
- Coordinate warehouse distribution efforts, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods while managing logistics partners.
- Work closely with the Warehouse Manager to learn and master all aspects of the warehouse operations.
- Take on Warehouse Manager duties in their absence.
- Motivate warehouse team to meet or exceed goals and standards.
- Coordinate training of new employees and ensure that current employees are receiving ongoing training.
- Practice safe warehouse procedures, identify potential hazards, and recommend improvement to standard procedures.
- Operates forklifts safely and efficiently, follow all OSHA safety regulations and perform vehicle safety checks.
- Schedule inbound shipments
- Complete accurate warehouse productivity reports for upper management
- Schedule \ handle customer pickup orders
- Setup product locations that ensure efficient space utilization
- Plan work schedules, assign tasks, and appraise results
- Communicate with customers, sales reps, vendors, and transport companies
- Ensure the health, safety, and cleanliness of the work environment.
- Provide daily shipping and receiving status updates
- Ensure production targets are met
- Schedule maintenance on scale \ wrapper \ generator \ clamp trucks
- Unlock and unarm warehouse (morning) lock and arm building (evening)
- Weekly cycle count inventory and inspection of goods
- Ensure that all inventory transactions are properly documented in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Ability to follow and carry out instructions with minimal supervision.
- Other duties as assigned.
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Experience
- High school diploma or GED plus 3 years' experience, and/or a combination of college + experience.
- Forklift certification required and at least 1 year of experience operating a forklift.
- Prior experience in warehouse supervisor roles is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management techniques, shipping & receiving procedures, and logistics operations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining high safety standards and operational efficiency.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to warehousing operations ensures a safe workplace environment.
- Strong customer service skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office (excel and word).
Desired skills include: organization, coordination, leadership, planning, time management, reporting, inventory control, documentation and communicatoin, equipment maintenance, detail oriented, dependable.
Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, general hours are 7:30am - 4:30pm Monday-Friday. Overtime may be required to meet the demands of the business, as needed.
Travel may be expected, with advance notice.
Work Environment
This position works in an office and warehouse setting, with outdoor exposure during the workday. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, and standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters and tape dispensers.
The employee is subject to environmental conditions. Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily temperature changes.
This employee is subject to extreme heat and may experience temperatures of over 100 degrees Fahrenheit for more than one hour during peak summer months.
The employee is subject to noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the employee to shout in order to be heard above an ambient noise level.
The employee is subject to atmospheric conditions. One or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system of the skin: fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
