Title: MRB Engineering & Authority Lead
Location: Charleston SC
Length: 6 month contract with extensions up to 3 years
Pay Rate: $88-105/hr W2
Shifts: 1st Shift (6:30 AM start) / 2nd Shift (2 PM start)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide single-threaded technical leadership and MRB authority oversight across the delivery team.
- Hold existing MRB authority and sign off on complex non-conformance dispositions.
- Manage authority progression for Group A engineers using defined readiness checkpoints.
- Own MRB execution cadence, prioritization, and throughput performance.
- Serve as the primary technical escalation point for complex dispositions.
- Coordinate with stakeholders on decision quality and governance.
- Ensure disposition quality and compliance with engineering standards.
- Drive continuous improvement and standardization across the MRB workflow.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (or ME/EE/Aero/Civil) required.
- 5-10+ years of engineering experience in aerospace and/or complex manufacturing.
- Existing or prior MRB authority strongly required.
- Prior Boeing MRB experience strongly preferred.
- Expertise in materials, failure analysis, composites, fatigue, fracture mechanics.
- Proven leadership of engineering teams in a production environment.
- U.S. Person (ITAR/EAR); able to complete PI training.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Pay: $88.00 - $105.00 per hour
