Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, assembling ingredients, and following recipes to ensure quality and consistency
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, bussing tables, and sanitizing work surfaces
- Handle food safely by adhering to proper food handling procedures and safety standards
- Support serving staff by delivering food orders promptly and accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Contribute to banquet setups and assist with large event catering when needed
- Ensure timely food delivery to guests while maintaining high standards of guest service and hospitality
- Collaborate effectively with team members to uphold efficient kitchen operations and excellent customer service
Skills
- Proven experience in food service, food handling, or restaurant environments
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and proper sanitation procedures
- Experience with food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing
- Previous banquet or hotel experience is a plus, demonstrating versatility in various hospitality settings
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and interact positively with guests
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
