The City of Richmond Department of Parks, Recreation, and Community Facilities is seeking a qualified Recreation Program Supervisor. This position is responsible for providing supervisory oversight for the programming, scheduling and processing of permits for Mid-town Green, Dogwood Dell, Department Community Centers, Parks/Park facilities and the coordination and implementation of Special Events to include ribbon cutting ceremonies, Juneteenth, Grand Illumination, Film Productions and other City-wide events and activities.
The Recreation Program Supervisor will work under the direction of the Recreation Program Manager for Special Events/Permits.
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in parks and recreation, business or public administration
-
Five years of professional recreational programming and parks or facilities management experience.

An equivalent combination of training and experience (as approved by the department) may be used to meet the minimum qualifications of the classification
LICENSING, CERTIFICATIONS, and OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:-
Some assignments may require a background check, additional certifications and a valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record and a valid Commonwealth of Virginia Driver's License within 30 days of hire.
