Position Overview:
Siemens Mobility Rail Traction Components is seeking a qualified Service Repair Technician / Engineer for its Alpharetta, GA facility. In this factory-based role, you will evaluate, troubleshoot, repair, and test rail motors and gears in both factory and field environments while ensuring high-quality results.
What your day-to-day will look like:

Inspect incoming units, document findings, and prepare detailed failure reports with photos as needed.
- Safely operate lifting devices, cranes, jigs, and assembly stands while supporting a Zero Harm safety culture.
- Read and interpret drawings, diagrams, specifications, work orders, and bills of materials to determine repair requirements.
- Troubleshoot, disassemble, repair, assemble, and test rail motors and gears to meet quality specifications and tolerances.
- Complete accurate documentation and reporting while working in factory, field, and high-voltage test environments with some travel.

Meet education requirements through an associate degree, vocational certification, apprenticeship certification, or two years of related work experience.
- Identify complex problems, review related information, evaluate options, and implement effective solutions.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy in technical work.
- Possess the skills, attributes, behaviors, and experience to serve as a collaborative technical trainer on various products.
- Use computers and software applications while applying basic lean principles to optimize processes and eliminate waste.
