Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and driven Insurance Account Representative to join our fast-paced insurance agency. The ideal candidate brings strong insurance expertise, excellent relationship-building skills, proven managerial leadership experience, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. This person should be highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, in-person work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their insurance needs and provide tailored solutions across property & casualty, health, and life insurance products.
- Prepare quotes, present proposals, and negotiate coverage terms with clients and carriers to secure favorable outcomes.
- Process applications, endorsements, and renewals while maintaining accurate client and policy information in the CRM.
- Monitor policy changes and support compliance with applicable insurance regulations.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by responding to client inquiries and coordinating with underwriting and claims teams as needed.
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling, including outside sales activities when appropriate.
- Collaborate effectively with internal team members to support agency goals and client success.
Qualifications
- Extensive insurance experience in both personal and commercial lines.
- Active P&C / Life & Health licenses required.
- Strong customer service experience required.
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to navigate web-based applications.
- Ability to build strong relationships with both customers and team members.
- Proven ability to work independently and require minimal supervision.
- Managerial leadership experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
- College degree preferred, but not required.
- Familiarity with State Farm preferred, but not required.
Work Location
This is a full-time, in-person position based in Monrovia, CA 91016.
Commute / Relocation Requirement
Candidates must be able to reliably commute to Monrovia, CA 91016 or plan to relocate before starting work.
