Duties
- Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments, including functional assessments for individuals with autism spectrum disorders and other neurodevelopmental conditions.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans grounded in applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles to support clients’ behavioral health goals.
- Collect and analyze data meticulously during therapy sessions to track progress and inform treatment adjustments.
- Provide training and supervision to behavior technicians and support staff, ensuring adherence to best practices in behavioral therapy and medical documentation standards.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, educators, and healthcare providers to coordinate care plans and facilitate effective communication regarding patient progress.
- Perform patient assessments, intake evaluations, and behavioral psychological assessments while maintaining HIPAA compliance and safeguarding medical records.
- Support home-based behavioral interventions by designing strategies that promote skill acquisition and reduce challenging behaviors in natural settings.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders support and behavioral health interventions.
- Demonstrated expertise in applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavioral psychological assessments, functional assessments, and diagnostic evaluation processes.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical documentation practices, HIPAA regulations, and managing medical records within a clinical setting.
- Previous experience conducting patient care activities such as patient assessment and intake procedures in home or clinic environments.
- Strong background working with individuals with disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders across diverse settings, including home-based interventions.
- Knowledge of special education principles and experience supporting individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders through evidence-based behavioral therapies.
