Job Summary

Duties
- Greet guests promptly with enthusiasm and genuine warmth, establishing a positive first impression
- Manage reservation systems using POS platforms such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to organize seating efficiently
- Escort guests to their tables, providing menus and answering initial questions about the menu or specials
- Maintain an organized waitlist and manage guest flow during busy hours to minimize wait times
- Handle guest inquiries over the phone with professionalism and courtesy, providing accurate information about reservations and wait times
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service flow and guest satisfaction
- Assist with guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and courteously, ensuring every guest feels valued
- Uphold cleanliness standards at the host stand and dining area, adhering to health and safety guidelines
Experience
- Previous host/hostess experience in a fine dining, fast-paced restaurant or food service environment preferred
- Strong customer service background with excellent communication skills
- Familiarity with restaurant reservation systems such as Resy, Open Table, and Tripleseat highly desirable.
- Experience working in hospitality settings like hotels or guest services enhances your ability to connect with diverse guests
- Knowledge of phone etiquette and guest relations techniques ensures professional interactions at all times
- Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining a friendly demeanor under pressure
- Prior experience serving or working in food service is a plus, demonstrating understanding of restaurant operations
