Duties
- Set up banquet rooms according to event specifications, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, and décor to create an inviting atmosphere
- Serve food and beverages efficiently and courteously during events, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times
- Clear tables promptly and assist with bussing to maintain a clean and organized environment
- Handle food and beverage presentation with attention to detail, including wine pouring, drink service, and basic food handling techniques
- Support food preparation tasks as needed, including setting up stations or replenishing supplies during service
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, including wine pairings and specialty drinks, to enhance guest experience
- Follow food safety protocols diligently to ensure proper handling, storage, and sanitation standards are upheld
Requirements
- Previous experience in the food industry or catering environment is highly preferred
- Strong guest services skills with a focus on guest relations and customer satisfaction
- Knowledge of food handling, serving techniques, beverage service, and wine knowledge is advantageous
- Experience with banquet setup or fine dining environments is a plus
- Ability to perform basic math for order accuracy and billing purposes
- Excellent communication skills coupled with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads as required during setup and service shifts
