DefinitionCape Fear Community College is seeking a qualified adjunct instructor to support the Medical Sonography Program through part-time instruction in didactic, laboratory, and/or clinical settings. This position plays a key role in preparing students for entry-level sonography practice by delivering high-quality instruction aligned with program and accreditation standards.Supervision Received and exercised: Receives general supervision from the Medical Sonography Program Director.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
ESSENTIAL AND OTHER IMPORTANT FUNCTIONS STATEMENTS: Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following: Essential Functions: Provide didactic, laboratory, and/or clinical instruction as assigned by the Program Director Prepare for each instructional session to ensure effective delivery of course content Utilize a variety of teaching methods and strategies to support diverse learning styles Implement learning activities that promote achievement of course student learning outcomes Maintain a safe, organized, and professional learning environment Supervise and evaluate student performance in lab and/or clinical settings, as assigned Maintain accurate and timely student records, attendance, and grades in accordance with college policies Provide timely feedback on assignments, exams, and clinical/lab performance Communicate with the Program Director regarding student progress, concerns, and course needs Maintain confidentiality of student records and academic information Ensure familiarity with and adherence to program policies, procedures, and accreditation standards (CAAHEP/JRC-DMS) Maintain current professional credentials and clinical competency in sonography Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned

If highest level of education is High School diploma or equivalent, proof of completion is required. Candidates who have obtained their education outside of the US and its territories must have their academic degree(s) validated, at their own expense, by an outside credential evaluation service as equivalent to the Baccalaureate or Master's degree conferred by a regionally accredited college or university in the United States.
