Is a boutique creditor's rights law firm based in South Florida. The firm provides responsive, personalized legal services throughout the full lifecycle of a creditor's claim, from initial title searches through foreclosure sales.
The practice includes foreclosure, litigation, bankruptcy, loan modifications, and appeals.
The firm is currently seeking an experienced Foreclosure Assistant to join its growing Boca Raton team. This is a full-time opportunity offering an in-office/hybrid schedule with some work-from-home flexibility.
Position Summary
The Foreclosure Assistant will support attorneys throughout the foreclosure process, from initial filing through sale. This position works closely with the litigation team to ensure cases remain accurate, organized, and on schedule.
The ideal candidate will have previous foreclosure or creditor's rights experience and be comfortable managing a high volume of active cases, documentation, and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review foreclosure pleadings, motions, complaints, affidavits, final judgments, and supporting documentation.
- Order and review title searches.
- Coordinate with title companies to resolve issues that may impact foreclosure timelines.
- Track important case milestones, including service, judgment, hearing, and sale dates.
- Identify and escalate matters requiring attorney attention.
- Coordinate with courts, clerks, and opposing counsel regarding hearings, foreclosure sales, and case status.
- Maintain and update the case management system with accurate case information and next steps.
- Assist with electronic court filings and regularly review active foreclosure dockets.
- Communicate professionally with clients, servicers, attorneys, and internal team members.
- Gather required documentation and provide case updates.
- Assist attorneys with hearing preparation and foreclosure sale coordination.
- Support post-sale matters, including applicable redemption periods and surplus funds.
- Maintain organized, accurate, and audit-ready case files from intake through closing.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Foreclosure Assistant, Paralegal, or Legal Assistant strongly preferred.
- Experience within a creditor's rights, foreclosure, or default servicing practice preferred.
- Working knowledge of the Florida foreclosure process.
- Understanding of title issues, judgment procedures, and foreclosure sale timelines.
- Experience using legal case management software and electronic court filing systems.
- Familiarity working with Florida courts and clerks.
- Strong understanding of deadlines and case-management procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage a high volume of cases and competing deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional and client-focused approach.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Associate's degree, bachelor's degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent practical legal experience preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
$65,000–$70,000 annually
