American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a General Surgery / Operating Room position in Santa Fe, NM, requiring at least 1 year of OR/surgical nursing experience and active BLS and ACLS certifications.

General Surgery unit within a hospital setting

Day shift: 6:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Schedule: 4x10s or 5x8s

13-week contract
-
Weekend coverage required
-
On-call requirement in effect

Floating to other units may be required

Active RN license in NM or a compact state

Current BLS certification from AHA required
-
Current ACLS certification from AHA required

Minimum 1 year of experience in OR or surgical nursing

BSN preferred

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel pay rates

Provides nursing care using the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation

Administers medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
-
Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
-
Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
-
Provides patient and family education, identifying needs and appropriate resources

SSN required for consideration
