We are seeking a friendly and efficient Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. This role is vital in providing exceptional customer experiences through accurate order processing, friendly service, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service, familiarity with POS systems, and strong interpersonal skills to ensure customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with food preparation and order management
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for retail sales transactions and cash register operations
- Process cash, credit, and digital payments accurately while handling cash handling responsibilities
- Upsell menu items and promote specials to increase sales opportunities
- Manage food service customer orders efficiently, ensuring timely delivery and accuracy
- Maintain cleanliness of the workspace, including sanitizing surfaces and kitchen equipment as needed
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and assist with basic food preparation when required
- Follow food safety protocols and sanitation standards to ensure a safe environment for customers and staff
- Assist in food handling, serving, and ensuring overall customer satisfaction during their visit
Skills
- Previous experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments preferred
- Knowledge of food industry standards, including food safety management and sanitation practices
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; cashiering experience is essential
- Strong math skills for processing cash transactions accurately
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Ability to upsell products confidently to enhance sales performance
- Customer service skills with a friendly attitude and effective communication abilities
- Experience with operating kitchen equipment and food preparation techniques preferred
- Basic knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and safety regulations within a restaurant or café setting
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
