Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a reliable and hands-on Mechanic Helper to support maintenance operations for a small fleet at a local landfill facility. This role is ideal for candidates with basic mechanical skills who are looking to grow in a maintenance environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist mechanics with routine maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles and equipment
Perform basic mechanical tasks under supervision
Repair and replace tires on small fleet vehicles
Conduct inspections and identify maintenance needs
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Follow all safety guidelines and procedures
Requirements:
Basic mechanical knowledge required
Experience with tire repair and replacement (preferred)
Ability to work in an outdoor and industrial environment
Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions
Must be able to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience working with fleet vehicles or heavy equipment
Familiarity with hand and power tools
