Job Summary: The Sunday morning position of Childcare Staff at Palma Ceia Presbyterian Church is to lovingly care for our cherished children, birth to 3 years. This allows parents or guardians to participate in Worship or Faith Formation. The position reports directly to the Young Children's Coordinator and is employed by the Session of Palma Ceia Presbyterian Church.
Qualifications
1. Demonstrate caring for children and working with parents
2. Must be at least 18 years of age
3. Must be able to work with various types of people and be punctual, flexible, cooperative, and amenable.
4. Experience working with children or a desire to work in the area of children
5. Must complete an employee background check
6. Must complete W-4 or I-9 forms when appropriate prior to employment.

Responsibilities:
1. Arrive on time for the assigned shift on Sundays 8:15 am-12:15 pm and check in with the Young Children's Coordinator
2. Work with a team of Caregivers to assist in greeting parents and children as they arrive and leave the nursery or childcare area. Make sure all children are properly signed in and have name tags on themselves and his/her bag.
3. Read a Bible story and a prayer every time a child is in your care, using the resources that the Nursery Coordinator provides
4. Oversee the care and safety of all children
5. Replace materials to their proper space in the classroom.
