About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Lead Carpenter to join our team and take ownership of residential remodeling projects from start to finish. You'll be the primary craftsman on job sites, directing the work of crew members, coordinating with our project managers, and ensuring every project meets our high standards of quality and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day carpentry and remodeling work on residential job sites
- Direct and mentor crew members and laborers
- Perform skilled carpentry across a variety of project types including kitchen and bathroom remodels, home additions, basement finishing, and more
- Interpret and work from architectural plans, drawings, and project specifications
- Ensure all work meets quality standards, building codes, and project timelines
- Communicate professionally with homeowners and clients while on site
- Coordinate with project managers on scheduling, materials, and project progress
- Identify and problem-solve construction challenges in the field
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites at all times
- Perform demolition, framing, trim work, installations, and finish carpentry as needed
Qualifications
- Proven experience in residential remodeling and finish carpentry (required)
- Professional references required
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and best practices
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
- Experience leading or supervising a crew
- Own tools required
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
- Excellent communication skills with both teammates and homeowners
- Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated
- Familiarity with local building codes and safety regulations a plus
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs regularly
- Comfortable working on ladders and in confined spaces
- Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and work in various positions throughout the day
- Capability to work in different weather conditions and temperatures
