Job Summary
We are seeking a positive and dedicated Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) Clinical Fellow (CF) to join our dynamic team and provide exceptional speech therapy services to pediatric populations. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for pediatric patients, utilizing appropriate medical terminology and evaluation tools
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each child's needs, focusing on speech, language, and communication goals
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including educators and healthcare providers, to support patient progress
- Assist in early intervention programs by providing targeted therapy sessions for young children with speech or language delays
- Maintain detailed documentation of patient progress, session notes, and assessment results in compliance with clinical standards
- Educate families and caregivers on strategies to support communication development at home
- Stay informed about current best practices in pediatrics, physiology, and anatomy relevant to speech therapy
Qualifications
- Recent graduation from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program with eligibility for Clinical Fellowship status
- Strong interest or experience in pediatrics and early intervention settings
- Knowledge of physiology and anatomy related to speech production and swallowing processes
- Familiarity with patient assessment techniques and medical terminology used in healthcare environments
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect effectively with children and families
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment
- Prior school experience or pediatric clinical placements are highly desirable
