Position Summary
Vicky Bakery is seeking an experienced, highly organized, and detail-oriented Human Resources & Accounting Manager to oversee the company's accounting, payroll, and human resources functions. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing weekly payroll, administering HR functions, ensuring compliance with employment laws and OSHA regulations, and managing franchise royalty billing. The ideal candidate is dependable, maintains the highest level of confidentiality, and thrives in a fast-paced, multi-location organization.
Essential Responsibilities Accounting & Financial Management
- Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks Online.
- Record daily accounting transactions and maintain the general ledger.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end and year-end closing.
- Prepare financial reports and support budgeting activities.
- Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve accounting discrepancies.
Franchise Accounting
- Calculate, prepare, and invoice franchise royalties, marketing fund contributions, and other franchise-related billings in accordance with franchise agreements.
- Review franchise sales reports to ensure accurate royalty calculations.
- Monitor outstanding franchise receivables and follow up on past-due accounts.
- Maintain accurate records of all franchise billing and collections.
Human Resources & Payroll
- Process weekly payroll accurately using ADP.
- Maintain employee personnel files and payroll records.
- Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding.
- Administer employee benefits, paid time off, and leave programs.
- Assist managers with employee relations, performance documentation, and disciplinary processes.
- Coordinate workers' compensation claims and unemployment responses.
- Maintain the employee handbook, HR policies, and required employment records.
- Ensure all payroll and employee information is handled with the highest level of confidentiality.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and workplace safety requirements across corporate, commissary, and retail operations.
- Assist with HR audits, payroll audits, and regulatory reporting.
- Stay current on labor law changes and recommend policy updates as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of combined Human Resources, Payroll, and Bookkeeping experience.
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online.
- Extensive experience processing weekly payroll using ADP.
- Strong experience with bank reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Thorough understanding of payroll regulations, labor laws, employee classifications, and OSHA compliance.
- Fluent in both English and Spanish (written and verbal) is required.
- Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
- High level of integrity and discretion with confidential information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the restaurant, bakery, food manufacturing, hospitality, or franchise industry.
- Experience supporting a multi-location organization.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or comparable HR certification is a plus.

Pay: $47,500.26 - $57,204.62 per year
