Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble food items quickly and accurately following established recipes and safety standards
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process customer transactions efficiently
- Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, dining areas, and food handling zones in accordance with food safety regulations
- Manage cash handling duties including cashiers’ responsibilities, ensuring accurate transactions and change management
- Assist with food safety protocols, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
- Support team members with bussing tables, cleaning dining areas, and restocking supplies to ensure smooth restaurant operations
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation or quick service restaurants is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Strong time management skills to handle high-volume periods efficiently
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, sales calculations, and retail math tasks
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and positive energy
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment like a quick service or fast food restaurant is advantageous
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends
