We are looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team! You will assist doctors with all aspects of medical care for dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, reptiles, other exotic pets, and wildlife!
This is not an entry level position. Ideal candidates are skilled with the following tasks:
- patient surgical prep
- assisting doctors in surgery
- catheter placement
- anesthesia monitoring
- assisting the doctor with dentistry
- post-surgical patient monitoring
- medication injection and blood draws
- collection and analysis of test specimens utilizing Abaxis lab equipment
- data collection and accurate recording in paperless computer system (Avimark)
- ability to position for digital radiographs
- great customer service skills to communicate well with pet owners
- certification/license is ideal but not required
The weekday schedule is set with occasional Saturday mornings.
