Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assisting our Physicians in providing eye care to patients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Training is provided in the office and experience is preferred, but not required. We are looking for someone who is dependable and has an excellent work ethic. As well as someone who has a professional, positive and caring attitude and pays attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Conduct preliminary patient screenings including visual acuity, color vision, depth perception, and other diagnostic tests
- Assist ophthalmologists with patient examinations and minor surgical procedures
- Record patient medical history and maintain accurate documentation
- Instruct patients on proper eye care procedures and medication usage
- Perform diagnostic testing such as tonometry, visual field testing, and OCT imaging
- Maintain and calibrate ophthalmic equipment
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinic protocols
Skills
- Proficiency in medical terminology and anatomy knowledge
- Experience in a clinical setting or retail sales environment is advantageous
- Familiarity with medical coding practices
- Strong patient care skills including taking vital signs and providing patient education
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
