We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining CNC milling programs to produce high-precision components, primarily for aerospace and defense applications. Responsibilities
- Create, read, and interpret engineering drawings and 3D models, ensuring clear communication of machining requirements.
- Interpret and analyze technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to determine machining operations and sequences.
- Create and optimize CNC programs using CATIA V5 CAM software to produce complex aerospace and defense components.
- Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for each job, ensuring machine capabilities align with part specifications.
- Select and install appropriate tooling for each job and design/create custom fixtures when necessary
- Maintain accurate records of CNC programs, machine setups, modifications, and test results.
- Generate documentation to set up CNC machines, perform test runs, and make necessary adjustments to ensure parts meet specified quality and tolerance standards.
- Work closely with engineers, machinists, and quality control teams to resolve technical issues and improve machining processes.
- Oversee CNC operators, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and quality standards throughout the production process.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products using precision measuring tools to ensure compliance with part specifications.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in CNC programming and machining technologies to improve production efficiency and quality.
- Ensure all machining operations comply with safety regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
