Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Diesel Shop Manager to lead our heavy-duty vehicle and equipment repair operations. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate all shop activities related to diesel engine repair, heavy equipment maintenance, and automotive diagnostics
- Oversee the inspection, diagnosis, and repair of a fleet of heavy-duty diesel trucks
- Ensure adherence to company safety protocols and compliance standards, as well as with all federal and state regulations.
- Schedule maintenance work efficiently to minimize downtime and maximize productivity
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, service histories, parts inventory, and work orders
- Provide technical guidance on schematics interpretation, welding projects, equipment assembly, and troubleshooting complex mechanical systems
Requirements
- Proven experience or vocation school
- Knowledge of a shop, trouble shooting and a strong mechanical aptitude
- Extensive knowledge of diesel mechanics including engine repair, air brake systems, shocks & struts, suspension systems, and HVAC systems
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation such as tractors-trailers.
- Mechanical knowledge of transmissions, hydraulics, vehicle systems repair (brakes, alignment), and suspension components
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly to team members
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and operate hand tools safely in a busy shop environment.
Pay: $75,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
