POSITION SUMMARY:
- Establish and maintains good relations with customers by providing courteous, efficient and professional delivery service in a safe and timely manner.
- Maintain an excellent driving record. Assist in the Warehouse when not on the road.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Responsible for all deliveries to commercial accounts from store location. Picks up and delivers parts to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts and vendors. Collects account payments. Checks payments received with the invoices for each delivery. Checks with store manager before leaving store to coordinate any last minute pick ups or deliveries.
- Handles basic maintenance of the truck including filling tank with gas, checking oil and keeping it clean. Advises manager if delivery truck needs repairs and maintenance.
- Assists on the warehouse floor as needed when not making deliveries. Helps with stocking items in the warehouse. Light warehouse work.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must follow all Company safety policies and procedures. Immediately reports any and all accidents to the store manager.
- Must be capable of lifting and moving parts up to 60 pounds. Must be capable of unloading parts for customer in a safe and secure manner.
- Must be functionally literate and capable of understanding and recognizing part numbers to ensure proper identification of parts.
- Must possess a valid driver's license subject to the following conditions: No DUI/DWI conviction within the previous five years. No more than two "moving violations" within the previous 36 months. No operating a vehicle with a suspended or revoked driver’s license. Not have automobile insurance canceled because of a poor driving record within the previous 36 months.
