Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
Gulfport Nursing Center, a 118-bed skilled nursing facility located in beautiful Pasadena near the beaches, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist occupational therapists in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans for our residents
- Conduct evaluations, assessments, and interventions to improve residents' functional abilities and quality of life
- Provide educational and therapeutic activities to promote resident independence and mobility
- Collaborate with the occupational therapy team to ensure seamless delivery of care and services
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of resident assessments, treatments, and progress
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant or related field
- Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in the state of Florida
- Experience in the field of occupational therapy
- Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation, if necessary
