Description:
Knowledge of accounting procedures for accounts payable and payroll, cash control standards, computer
software, office equipment and office practices. Ability to plan, organize, analyze and establish priorities
related to assigned duties. Must have strong analytical and trouble shooting skills. Must have the ability
to make computations and tabulations rapidly and accurately with a heavy volume workload involving
time constraint deadlines. Ability to carry out job responsibilities and handle sensitive information in a
confidential manner. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with personnel in
schools, departments, and vendors. Ability to communicate orally and in writing. Ability to handle
multiple tasks in a professional and courteous manner. Ability to answer telephones in a professional
and courteous manner. Ability to work cooperatively with others. Ability to work independently and
make decisions with minimum supervision.
Job Summary:
To perform tasks in each functional area of accounting in a timely and accurate manner
in compliance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations.
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Three (3) years experience as a bookkeeper, accounts payable clerk, payroll clerk, or an
equivalent combination of training and experience.
3. Experience with computer systems and applications preferred.
4. Experience with municipal or governmental accounting preferred.
5. Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screening.

Salary Information: Support Personnel. Pay Grade 11. Two hundred fifty days worked per year (12 months). FLSA Non-Exempt.
