Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Houseman to join our dynamic hospitality team. In this vital role, you will support the housekeeping staff by maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization throughout our hotel premises. Your proactive approach will ensure a welcoming environment for guests and staff alike, contributing to the overall guest experience.
Duties
- Perform floor cleaning and floor care using appropriate cleaning equipment to maintain pristine surfaces in guest rooms, hallways, and public areas
- Handle cleaning tasks efficiently, including vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and sanitation of all hotel spaces
- Assist in laundry facilities, wash, dry and fold linens
- Manage chemical agent handling safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines and proper storage procedures
- Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies, furniture, or equipment as needed to support housekeeping operations
- Support hotel emergency procedures by responding promptly to safety incidents or hazards and ensuring sanitation standards are met
- Maintain cleanliness of janitorial closets and storage areas, ensuring all cleaning equipment is in good working order
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest requests promptly and courteously when interacting with visitors or staff
- Assist with maintaining all areas inside and out of the property
- Report any maintenance issues immediately to management
Requirements
- Previous custodial or janitorial experience in a hospitality or commercial setting is highly preferred
- Knowledge of hotel housekeeping management practices and industrial cleaning techniques
- Familiarity with chemical handling procedures and safety data sheets (SDS) compliance
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely and effectively
- Strong understanding of sanitation standards, including hospital-grade cleaning protocols if applicable
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive attitude toward maintaining cleanliness standards
- Experience with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, or steam cleaners is advantageous

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
