Position Summary
SkySource Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst II for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This role is ideal for a finance professional who enjoys financial analysis, reporting, problem-solving, and partnering with cross-functional teams to drive business performance.
The Business Analyst II (BA II) provides financial oversight for approximately 45-50 joint ventures and is responsible for accurate and timely monthly and quarterly financial reporting. This individual will perform detailed P&L reviews, analyze financial results, support month-end close activities, and provide clear explanations of key business drivers and financial performance.
The BA II partners closely with Finance leadership and operational teams to support strategic decision-making through financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, and process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage financial oversight for approximately 45-50 joint ventures.
- Prepare and deliver accurate monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages.
- Perform detailed Profit & Loss (P&L) reviews and communicate financial results to stakeholders.
- Support month-end and quarter-end close processes.
- Review general ledger accounts and investigate financial variances and discrepancies.
- Partner with Revenue Cycle Management teams, including Accounts Receivable, Billing, and Collections.
- Ensure proper revenue recognition and accurate Accounts Receivable valuation.
- Monitor and analyze cash flow performance and financial trends.
- Conduct variance analysis, trend analysis, rate analysis, and historical comparisons.
- Develop financial models to evaluate strategic and operational initiatives.
- Analyze financial performance across EBIT, EBITDA, Net Income, fixed expenses, variable expenses, liabilities, and distributions.
- Monitor key operational and financial metrics, including:
- Days Sales Outstanding (DSO)
- Home Penetration
- Days on Hand
- Missed Treatments
- Coordination of Benefits
- Assist with board presentations, executive reporting, and departmental reporting.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, standardization, and operational efficiencies.
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Demonstrate strong follow-through and "close-the-loop" practices to ensure issues are fully resolved.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required; Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Strong financial analysis and reporting experience.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, financial modeling, and data analysis.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to clearly explain financial findings and business impacts to various audiences.
- Experience performing variance analysis, trend analysis, and financial modeling preferred.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.
