Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals 55 or older, including those with mental illness and disabilities. Responsibilities
- Provide attentivenes, ensuring their safety, comfort, and emotional well-being
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, bathing, diapering, and dressing for the adults that need assistance.
- Responsible for light cleaning, cooking, and laundry as needed.
- Medication reminders
- Support activities that promote memory care for development and learning through brain games, and puzzles.
- Manage behavior with patience and effective behavior management techniques to foster positive social interactions
- Administer basic first aid when necessary and respond promptly to any emergencies or health concerns.
- Collaborate with families or guardians to understand individual needs and preferences for caregiving plans
- Engage adults in age-appropriate activities that promote growth, curiosity, and social skills
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with Aged individuals with disabilities, and or mental illness.
- Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Strong understanding of behavior management strategies suitable for various age groups
- Experience caring for aged adults is highly preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with families, and team members
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support the physical, emotional, and developmental needs of others
