Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant/TMA to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to nursing staff and assist in delivering high-quality patient care in various settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, and home care environments. This role is crucial in ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients while maintaining a safe and efficient healthcare environment.
Duties
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
- Provide support in a Level I Trauma Center setting, assisting with emergency medicine as needed.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation of patient care activities and observations.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to implement patient care plans effectively.
- Support geriatric patients by understanding their unique needs and providing appropriate care.
- Assist in behavioral health settings by offering compassionate support to patients experiencing mental health challenges.
- Help transport patients within the facility and ensure their comfort during transfers.
- Uphold hygiene standards by maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients.
- Administer prescribed medications to residents in accordance with established policies and physician orders; accurately document administration, monitor for side effects or adverse reactions, and promptly report any concerns to the nursing team while maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in patient care is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of vital signs monitoring techniques is essential.
- Familiarity with medical documentation practices is an asset.
- Experience in hospital medicine or home care settings is desirable.
- Understanding of geriatrics and behavioral health principles is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while demonstrating strong communication skills.
- Must possess a caring attitude towards patients and a commitment to providing high-quality care.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
