The Associate is a customer-facing role responsible for maintaining corporate customer business. The role serves as a primary liaison between customers, operations, logistics, and office staff to ensure timely execution of processes and projects. The Associate evaluates inbound customer materials, aligns product categories to contracted rate cards, produces customer settlements, and communicates with customers by email, phone, and in-person as required.

Serve as customer contact for evaluation and analysis of customer shipments.

Perform detailed analysis of inbound material content and present findings for internal and customer pricing discussions.

Align inbound materials to contracted product categories and generate customer settlements.

Advise operations and account management on optimal processing plans for customer shipments.

Develop documentation, processes, and product descriptions for new and unique customer projects.

Participate in bids and RFP responses; provide pricing and processing intelligence.

Monitor and report shipment details including volume, processing timeframes, content, and values.

Identify opportunities to maximize customer value through efficiency and cost reductions.

Support supplier relationships with reporting, documentation, and arranging supplier visits when needed.

Reconcile purchased quantities and quality against purchase orders.

Coordinate with Finance to ensure timely vendor invoicing and payments.

Monitor material values and internal processing costs; maintain order, calendar, and budget tracking in company systems.

Drive key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with the company's financial targets and Core Values, such as revenue and profitability.

Monitor and manage team KPIs related to Account Associate turnaround times for settlements, reporting, and invoicing/payments.

Comply with all company policies and procedures.

College degree preferred; manufacturing or recycling industry experience is a plus.

Strong presentation and verbal/written communication skills in English.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel (essential).

Customer service orientation and ability to work cross-functionally with operations, logistics, finance, and suppliers.
