Job Summary
The Saw Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and tending to machines that cut metal according to customer specifications. This role requires high accuracy and efficiency in processing materials, verifying dimensions, and operating overhead cranes and forklifts.
- 2nd Shift Hours: 3:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m., with availability to work overtime as needed.
Summary of Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities
- Machine Setup and Operation: Set up and operate saw machines to process metal materials to meet customer specifications
- Accuracy and Efficiency: Ensure high levels of accuracy and efficiency in cutting processes
- Dimensional Verification: Use measuring tools to verify the dimensions of finished workpieces
- Equipment Operation: Operate overhead cranes and forklifts as required
- Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Measuring Tools: Ability to accurately use standard measuring tools
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Instruction Follow-Up: Ability to follow instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
