Job Description:
As a Property Management Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a critical role in managing our financial operations. This position requires a detail-oriented professional who can multi-task effectively while staying highly organized. You will be responsible for overseeing accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices, and maintaining strong relationships with Property Managers, Accounting Team Members, and vendors.
Responsibilities:
- Invoice Processing: Accurately upload, review, code, and process a high volume of vendor invoices.
- Payment Processing: Prepare and process payments, including checks, electronic transfers, and ACH transactions.
- Month-End Close: Perform monthly payable audits and assist with closing tasks.
- Vendor Compliance: Maintain a large number of vendor accounts while staying in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Data Entry & Accuracy: Perform precise data entry associated with accounts payable.
- Reconciliation: Review and reconcile invoice discrepancies promptly.
- Vendor Communication: Maintain regular communication with vendors, addressing inquiries and resolving payment-related issues.
- Document Management: Keep financial documentation and records organized and easily accessible.
- Multi-Tasking Support: Assist with additional accounting tasks assigned by Management, balancing multiple deadlines and priorities.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; Associate's degree in accounting preferred.
- Previous experience in accounts payable or accounting roles, preferably in property management or a related industry preferred.
- Entry-level position; training provided.
- Exceptional multi-tasking and organizational abilities, with strong time management skills.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
- High degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently while prioritizing competing tasks.
- Strong analytic and problem-solving abilities.
Requirements:
- Work in office environment a few days per week.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
