Summary:
The Student Success Coordinator is responsible for the overall administration, programming, and coordination of services for specific populations. The Student Success Coordinator provides leadership and direction by collaborating with the other Student Success Coordinator, as well as with campus and community partners, to secure continued or stable funding and to deliver services to eligible students. This position reports to the Director of Student Success.
Responsibilities:
The Student Success Coordinator is responsible for the administration of support services for students who are homeless youth, former foster care youth, veterans, military-affiliated, single-parent, non-traditional, and/or first-generation. In collaboration, the Student Success Coordinators provide individualized, holistic case management services to ensure a successful transition to college and beyond by addressing students’ academic, social, financial, and personal needs during their time at Casper College. The Student Success Coordinator is responsible for selecting, awarding, and managing all funds used to support this population. The Student Success Coordinator also serves an essential role in supporting retention efforts through the advisement of new students and General Studies majors within these populations, providing academic coaching, and assisting with other retention programming.
Work Environment:
Typical work environment is an office setting requiring normal safety precautions. Work is usually performed during the normal workday; however, occasional early morning, late evening, and weekend work may be required. Short periods of time will be spent outdoors traveling between campus buildings in various weather conditions. Due to busy seasons, there will be specific times of crucial availability when leave time may not be approved.
Physical Demands:
Employee is regularly required to sit, speak, hear, use hands and fingers to handle materials and use a computer, feel, and reach with hands and arms. Occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds may be required; less frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds may be required.
