Join our dynamic team as a Landscape Technician and play a vital role in creating and maintaining beautiful, functional outdoor environments. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work outdoors in various weather conditions, utilizing your landscaping expertise to enhance the aesthetic appeal and health of our clients’ grounds. You’ll be responsible for performing a wide range of landscape maintenance tasks, ensuring safety and quality standards are met while delivering exceptional results that leave a lasting impression.
Duties
- Perform landscape maintenance including mowing, pruning, trimming, planting, and fertilizing to keep outdoor spaces vibrant and healthy
- Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as lawnmowers, power tools, irrigation systems, excavators, and snow plows with precision and safety awareness
- Identify various plants, trees, shrubs, and flowers to ensure proper care and pest management practices are followed
- Install and maintain irrigation systems to promote healthy growth and water efficiency across landscapes
- Conduct tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and removal to ensure safety and aesthetic standards are upheld
- Execute hardscape projects such as installing pathways, retaining walls, or patios to enhance outdoor functionality
- Follow strict safety protocols during all operations to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience operating landscaping and grounds maintenance equipment
- Extensive outdoor work experience with a focus on landscape maintenance and gardening techniques
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as excavators and snow plows
- Knowledge of plant identification, horticulture principles, and pesticide management for effective landscape care
- Ability to interpret irrigation plans and troubleshoot irrigation systems for optimal performance
- Construction experience related to hardscape installation or grounds improvement projects is a plus
- Excellent understanding of safety procedures related to equipment operation, pesticide handling, and outdoor work environments
