What You'll Do
As a School Social Worker supporting local school districts throughout Connecticut, you may:
- Provide individual and small-group counseling services
- Support students experiencing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams
- Participate in PPT/IEP meetings and contribute recommendations
- Assist with crisis intervention and behavioral support planning
- Communicate with families and community providers as needed
- Maintain appropriate documentation and professional standards
Qualifications
- Connecticut Social Work licensure required (LCSW, LMSW, or equivalent school certification)
- School-based, pediatric, or behavioral health experience preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Passion for supporting student success and well-being
