Eligible candidates are hired into a Full or Part time position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires; per diem hires are ineligible. Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 3 months of separation from employment.

Maine state licensure to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required

Interested in bridging together medical care and behavioral health care for patients? Consider a role as a behavioral health clinician integrated into a specialty care setting.
This is a 20-hour position, located within MaineHealth Waldo Hospital’s Physical & Integrative Medicine at 37 Mortland Road in Searsport as well as the Belfast Weight Management Program at 119 Northport Avenue in Belfast.
This position provides behavioral health treatment to the patients of the practices in collaboration with the medical providers to ensure care is integrated which enhances the patient experience. The practices values the partnership with behavioral health clinicians and work collaboratively to optimize patient outcomes. Being integrated into a practice reduces stigma for patients, increasing their willingness to participate in care.
The clinician’s role includes providing screening, assessments, and focused brief treatment to patients of the practices. Treatment structure includes individual, family, and group work. Additional functions of the role include providing curbside consultation to providers, linking patients to additional services and supports, and participating in population health activities that targets the health and wellbeing of specific groups of people. Persons interested in this position must be comfortable working with all patients of the practice, as well as providing treatment to families. Knowledge of and interest in treating substance use disorders is preferred.
Your work is enhanced by being part of larger team with solid experience in integrated work. Collaborative work with psychiatrists and other integrated clinicians in the MaineHealth system adds to the experience. Individual supervision, group supervision, psychiatry consultation, and quarterly trainings are benefits of this position.
Summary:
The role of Behavioral Health Clinician II, working under an independent license, involves providing comprehensive care and support to clients with behavioral health needs. The key responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing direct care through individual, group, and family therapy sessions.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

Education: Master’s degree in social work, Clinical Counseling, Addiction Treatment, or related field

License/Certifications: Licensed LCPC, LCSW, or LMFT from the respective licensing board of the State of Maine Office of Professional and Occupational Regulation (OPOR)
Experience: At least two years of behavioral health experience including employment as a conditionally licensed clinician.

The base range is an estimate and does not reflect the full value of our total compensation package.
The pay range for this position is $71,448.00 to $96,636.80 per year.
Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
