Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Pipefitter to join our dynamic construction and maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining piping systems used in various industrial, commercial, and residential applications. Your expertise will ensure that plumbing, HVAC, fire sprinkler systems, and pipeline infrastructure operate safely and efficiently. Duties
- Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, technical drawings, and blueprints to accurately install piping systems according to specifications.
- Fabricate pipe components through cutting, threading, bending, soldering, welding (including MIG, TIG, FCAW, and pipe welding), and assembly to meet project requirements.
- Install various piping systems such as plumbing, HVAC ductwork, fire sprinkler fittings, and pipeline infrastructure using hand tools and power tools while following safety protocols.
- Perform pipe threading and tube bending tasks with precision using calipers and other measuring tools to ensure proper fit and function.
- Maintain compliance with industry standards such as ASME codes & standards, NFPA standards for fire safety, and local welding regulations during all fabrication and installation processes.
- Conduct routine maintenance on piping systems post-installation to ensure longevity and optimal performance.
- Adhere strictly to safety regulations including proper rigging techniques, power tool safety procedures, and construction site safety protocols to prevent accidents or injuries.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in pipefitting within construction or manufacturing environments with a solid understanding of pipe installation processes.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and construction plans for accurate project execution.
- Skilled in welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), pipe welding, and fire sprinkler fitting with certification preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge of pipe threading, fabrication methods, soldering techniques, HVAC systems, pipeline assembly, and plumbing installation.
- Ability to use hand tools such as calipers, pipe benders, cutters, threaders along with power tools safely on construction sites.
- Strong basic math skills for measurements and calculations necessary during fabrication and installation tasks.
- Knowledge of NFPA standards related to fire sprinkler systems as well as ASME codes & standards for piping integrity.
- Construction site experience with an emphasis on safety protocol adherence; familiarity with rigging practices is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to interpret technical drawings accurately; previous experience in manufacturing or maintenance environments is advantageous.

Pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour
