Overview
Lincolnian Residences is seeking a dependable and hands-on Maintenance Assistant to help keep our senior living community safe, comfortable, and well maintained.
Working under the direction of the Maintenance Director, the Maintenance Assistant will perform general repairs, preventative maintenance, apartment turnover work, and upkeep of the building and grounds. The ideal candidate has general maintenance experience, enjoys working with their hands, and is friendly and respectful when interacting with senior residents.
What You'll Do
- Perform general maintenance and repairs, including basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, flooring, appliance, and window repairs
- Complete preventative maintenance throughout the community
- Assist with apartment turnovers, including painting, carpet cleaning, and repairs
- Respond to maintenance needs and emergency situations such as leaks or flooding
- Inspect the building and grounds and address maintenance concerns
- Assist with seasonal snow, ice, and leaf removal
- Assemble and move furniture as needed
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and attractive environment for residents and team members
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Director
Qualifications
- Previous maintenance, facilities, construction, or related experience preferred
- General knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and repair work
- Ability to safely use common hand and power tools
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically active work
- Dependable, organized, and able to work independently
- Friendly and professional when interacting with senior residents, families, and team members
- Ability to respond appropriately to maintenance emergencies
Pay: $21.00 - $22.50 per hour
