2 year COMMERCIAL DELIVERY EXPERIENCE & 2 year DRIVING EXPERIENCE MANDATORY
Drivers must be able to navigate their designated routes quickly and efficiently to ensure timely deliveries of customer’s packages. Drivers are responsible for ensuring that shipments arrive safely to customers and that appropriate signature requirements are being met. The main focus of MDS drivers is to deliver customer packages in as efficient a manner as possible. In addition, drivers are required to adhere to a wide range of policies and procedures to ensure packages make it to the correct person.
Also, inclement weather and other factors can slightly extend your shift past the designated ending time. In addition, holiday periods are often very busy and most areas will require mandatory overtime during this time. The work environment is extremely physical. This position is exposed to a wide range of environmental elements including freezing temperatures, rain, and hot weather. Also, you will be walking regularly and regularly climbing stairs as you make your deliveries. In addition, many of the packages you will be transporting may weigh as much as 150 lbs pounds. Moreover, bulk deliveries often require the use of a handcart to transport them. In addition, you must be comfortable driving a boxcar with this position.
USPS,FEDEX,UPS,Lasership,Amazon,Google delivery driver experience a plus!!
General Accountabilities
- Conduct pre and post DVIR.
- Drive MT-45 Step Van for local deliveries.
- Utilize Star V Scanner
- Load the step van with packages
- Obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery.
- Listens to and resolves service complaints.
- Pick Up and Deliver packages from various customers throughout Brooklyn

- Display professionalism to our customers-Load packages on to trucks -Exude stellar customer service and be coachable
Compensation:Driver- $1000/wk depending on both delivery of days worked and driving experience.
- CDL is a PLUS BUT not required
- Paid training & Uniform stipend. -Raises will be applied based upon time on the job & performance
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience: Some related job experience or training
- Valid Drivers License
- Valid MEC Card
- 14,000 GWV CMV familiarity
- Ability to lift 150 lbs.
- Clean driver license (no moving violations)
- Ability to lift 100lbs.
- Pass an in house road test
- Drug test is MANDATORY -Eye test REQUIRED
- Must be 21yrs old or older
- Must have a minimum of 12-months experience driving a CMV (commercial vehicle) for business purposes within the last three years or 5 years experience in the last 10 years-No accidents in the past 3 years-Speak English
- Communicate effectively with our customers and business management -Must arrive on time, ready for work -Must be coachable and flexible-Demonstrate the ability to use RF scanners
