Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Hardscape Foreman to lead and oversee all aspects of hardscape construction projects. This role control crews, ensuring quality craftsmanship, and maintaining safety standards on-site. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction site experience, and a comprehensive understanding of hardscape techniques including paver patios, Retaining walls and fabrication. As a Hardscape Foreman, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional outdoor spaces that meet client and our specifications
Duties
- Lead and supervise hardscape crews, coordinating daily activities to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
- Oversee the installation of pavers, stonework, retaining walls, patios, and other outdoor structures using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute project plans.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, building codes, and project specifications.
- Collaborate with project managers to review construction estimates, schedules, and resource requirements.
- Coordinate with subcontractors for plumbing, electrical work, or specialized fabrication as needed for complex hardscape features.
- Maintain detailed documentation of daily progress reports, safety logs, and material inventories using tools like yeti or similar software.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in construction site management with a focus on hardscape projects including masonry, concrete forming, and fabrication.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and schematics interpretation for outdoor construction projects.
- Skilled in operating heavy equipment such as skid steers or excavators used in landscape installation.
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating and inspection processes to ensure accurate project delivery.
- Familiarity with various hand tools and power tools essential for masonry, (and welding tasks.
- Experience with restoration projects involving concrete finishing or masonry repairs is a plus.
- Ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining high safety standards on-site.
- Knowledge of yeti software or similar digital tools for project documentation is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and team members efficiently.
