Job Description: Attendant - Dog Daycare & Boarding
- This position is responsible for the safety, supervision and management of daycare and boarding dogs. This will include observing, interacting and utilizing proper dog handling techniques. Responsible for facility maintenance, including cleaning play areas/accessories and kennel areas/accessories. Will assist with customer relations, including check-in/out, scheduling reservations, payment processing and customer requests. Clear communication skills and an ability to work with all levels of personnel and management are essential.
- Applicants hired in a full-time capacity will earn a higher pay rate than part-time.
Qualifications
- Previous experience providing dog, pet or animal care preferred (personal or job related)
- Willingness to work with dogs and canines of varying breeds & sizes
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and spend time on your feet walking around the pack of dogs
Expectations
- Willing to work with dogs, learn to read dog behavior, interact with dogs of all breeds & sizes and keep every pet in your care safe at all times
- Prioritize pet safety and ensure safety of all dogs in your care by identifying and addressing potential behavior issues proactively
- Clean and maintain the whole facility (vacuum, mop, pick-up dog waste, clean windows, take out trash, etc.)
- Willing to work additional or irregular hours and holidays when needed
- Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned
