Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Catering Coordinator to lead the planning, organization, and execution of catering services for a diverse range of events. In this role, you will serve as the key point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met with precision and enthusiasm. Your ability to coordinate logistics, manage customer relationships, and deliver exceptional service will be vital in creating memorable experiences. Additional responsibilities include administrative assistance to the manager.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to understand their catering needs, preferences, and budgets, providing expert guidance on menu options and service styles.
- Grow sales accounts and business contacts
- Develop detailed event plans, including menu selection, and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with head baker and vendors to ensure timely preparation and delivery of food and beverages.
- Manage route driving responsibilities for delivering catering orders safely and efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
- Upsell additional services or products to enhance client satisfaction and increase sales opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of orders, pricing, route schedules, and customer interactions to ensure seamless operations.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations during driving, and food handling activities.
- Utilize strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, team members, vendors, and drivers.
- Developing creative marketing strategies and promotions.
- Assisting the manager with administration duties.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hospitality roles with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Strong knowledge of product production and sales techniques including upselling methods.
- Experience in sales
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, and a reliable vehicle.
- Ability to perform math calculations accurately for pricing adjustments and route planning.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging clients and coordinating team efforts effectively.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely; comfortable with manual labor involved in setup and breakdown.
- Organizational skills that enable multitasking across multiple events simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience working within a military or disciplined environment is a plus due to the emphasis on safety and protocol adherence. Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
