Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Mechanic to join our dynamic manufacturing facility team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of industrial equipment and systems to ensure optimal operational efficiency. Your expertise will help keep our production lines running smoothly, minimize downtime, and uphold safety standards. Duties
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on manufacturing equipment using precision measuring instruments and schematics.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical components to identify root causes of malfunctions.
- Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document work orders, maintenance history, and inventory management.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics utilizing tools such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters to diagnose electrical faults in low and high voltage systems.
- Repair or replace components including motors, sensors, switches, wiring harnesses, and hydraulic cylinders following safety protocols.
- Read electrical blueprints and schematics to accurately diagnose issues and implement repairs or modifications.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on troubleshooting complex equipment failures and implementing process improvements.
- Operate equipment such as scissor lifts or other industrial lifts safely for access during maintenance tasks.
- Maintain compliance with safety standards related to HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration), welding ( welding if applicable), and electrical systems.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with team members and supporting production needs through technical sales experience when applicable.
Requirements
- Proven experience working in a manufacturing facility environment with a strong understanding of industrial mechanics and maintenance practices.
- Hands-on experience with equipment troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance in an industrial setting.
- Proficiency in reading schematics, electrical blueprints, and engineering troubleshooting documents.
- Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, schematics readers, and other diagnostic tools.
- Knowledge of HVAC/R systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, high voltage safety procedures, and electrical systems diagnostics.
- Ability to operate scissor lifts or similar equipment safely for maintenance tasks at height.
- Experience with CMMS software for work order management is preferred.
- Strong analysis skills combined with excellent problem-solving abilities to quickly identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Effective communication skills in English to collaborate across teams and document work accurately.
- Industrial electrician experience or equivalent certifications are highly desirable.
